Well it was a lifelong dream to see an NFC Championship game in my hometown. It was a chance that doesn't come along very often in a sports fan's life. The Falcons have only been to the big game one other time and that was in the 1998 season when they upset the Vikings in Minnesota. This was a huge game for the city of Atlanta, the fans showed up, the offense was on fire and the defense showed up at least for the first quarter and a half. Ahhh the disappointment, being up by 17 points and then losing is a horrible feeling. This was just about as bad as the come from behind loss the Falcons suffered at the hand of the Dallas Cowboys in 1980, we were the #1 seed in the playoffs that year as well. Here are some photos from the game, I experimented with a mirror less camera, it was a Nikon 1 V1 w/30-100mm zoom, the camera focuses really fast so I was able to capture some pretty decent shots. Really makes you excited to see where camera technology is going to be in about 5-10 years.
Braves Photos
I recently got the opportunity to take a short class about Sports Photography, the best part was the field trip to Turner Field. Quite a treat to get some behind the scenes access to photograph the Braves players and scenes around the stadium. Below is one of the shots I took from the top of the stadium, click on the link below to access the full gallery of photos.
Photo from Hana
Cool photo that I took from the Seven Sacred Pools in Hana. This is a very secluded part of Maui, few people around and very peaceful. It takes a while to get here, from the airport it is about 53 miles and takes about 4.5 hours to drive that far, about 40 miles of it is on a one lane road where the speed limit is 15 mph. I took this photo with Powershot S95, 3 exposures merged together with Photomatix Pro to create and HDR image:
iOS Multitasking Facts
Very good read on the facts about how iOS multitasking works, there appears to be quite a bit of confusion on what is actually running in the background....even from the Apple Genius Bar.
There is one iOS "tip" that I keep hearing and it is wrong. Worse, I keep hearing it from supposedly authoritative sources. I have even heard it from the lips of Apple "Geniuses" in stores.

Mobile Flash dies..........
Adobe gives in.....finally.
Today Adobe announced:
Flash to Focus on PC Browsing and Mobile Apps; Adobe to More Aggressively Contribute to HTML5
Took them long enough, at least everybody(Android, Blackberry...etc) wins, Apple was already winning!
Cool new site......

Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011
Quite a loss of words tonight, the world has lost one of the best innovators of our time if not ever. Here are some very good tributes that I have seen tonight:
Vladimir Putin, Action Man
Vlad the man! Really? Well at least his personal photographer is good! According to this propaganda I think he would make James Bond a little nervous!
I am Lion....hear me roar!!!
Just installed Mac OS X Lion, so far no issues. Installation was very simple and took about 30 min. Still need to test out all my software and work out any incompatibilities. John Siracusa over at Ars Technica has written an incredible review, probably the most extensive software review I've ever read. Read the entire review here: Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Microsoft has a store now.....
On Saturday, I went to a local mall and to my amazement I saw a Microsoft store. It was located in a prime location of the mall but what was even more surprising was that there was no one in the store. I walked upstairs to where the Apple store was and it was quite busy. So I had to take this picture to depict the scene:
